§ Overview

Kaia Studio creates one-of-a-kind ceramics for hospitality and private collections. We rebuilt the identity around the idea of the hand — repositioning the studio from a decorative brand to an art practice.

01 / Problem

Kaia was being shopped alongside mass-produced tableware. The old identity leaned decorative — pastel palettes, script logos — and undervalued the work. Hospitality buyers struggled to justify the price point.

02 / Approach

We ran a positioning sprint with the founder and three collectors. The insight: buyers weren't paying for ceramics, they were paying for authorship. We repositioned Kaia as a studio with a point of view, not a shop, and rebuilt every touchpoint to feel like an artist's monograph.

03 / Solution

A serif wordmark paired with a hand-drawn monogram. An editorial grid system inspired by art catalogues. Warm, neutral palette anchored by a single ochre accent. Every collection gets its own folio — numbered, signed, archived.

04 / Outcome

Average order value up 2.3×. Three new hospitality accounts within a quarter of launch. Kaia's founder was invited to exhibit at Lisbon Design Week for the first time.
